When this company came to me, all they really had going for them, as far as branding goes, was the name. So they needed a logo, business cards, a website, even graphics for the aprons that the staff wears on jobs.
One Source is a maintenance and janitorial service catering to corporate offices, hospitals, schools, churches, etc. They needed a brand that represents professionalism and quality.

I played with some different concepts for the logo, but knew this was it even before I began to sketch it. This is one of those concepts you dream about but rarely come across in real life: the name seems made for this logo.
Once the logo was finished and approved, I simplified it, taking out the gradients and shadows, and set it up as you see above. Two colors, set up for screen printing. The background blue is the color of the aprons the staff wear.

Next was the business card. The client wanted something professional and corporate. So we went with a slightly textured white background, and some abstract geometric shapes coming into the background on the blue. You may notice the white background really allows the logo to “pop” and draws attention to the brand first. Then your eye follows the curve down along the rest of the information. The changing colors of text allow for a visual hierarchy to be established with the info. The title and phone number being the most important information.

The client was stoked, and so am I. What do you think?
